Together: A Series on Friendships

We all need friends, people who are close to us, people who know us and love us and enjoy being with us. The Bible teaches that friendship is often but not always a positive thing. Good friends can be invaluable in the life of faith; bad friends can be obstacles to the faith of Christ-followers or even lead them astray. Good friends are those whose commitment from the heart is shown in practical, often sacrificial, care, love and service. They are a source of encouragement, sympathy, comfort and support in time of need. Such relationships are to be cultivated, especially among Christ-followers.
