Our certified staff team, many of long-term employment, recognize the importance and benefits of a planned, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our objectives are derived from the Florida State Early Childhood Standards and lesson plans are differentiated to meet the individual needs of each student.

We select a wide variety of learning materials for each age group with our curriculum goals in mind, so that wherever the children play, they are continuously learning. We offer the concept of "layered curriculum," allowing each child to utlilize all of their senses. This way, children develop the necessary skills to successfully work in large and small groups, as well as independently. Our activity & schedule planning, environment organization and material selection are all designed to give your child a successful start in their schooling. In order to help make choices clear, we create distinct interest areas, known as "discovery centers." Examples of these daily opportunities and sample class schedules are mapped out below.

Our VPK Program uses the Florida State Assessment Tool that measures the eight domains that are covered within our daily curriculum. We also incorporate the Everyday Math Series to enhance early exposure to mathematics.
Discovery Centers

- Construction/blocks and manipulatives introduce the association of numbers and numerals, providing children the opportunity to sort, classify, pattern, count, calculate, estimate and engage in deductive reasoning activities.

Language - Library/writing introducing the letter-sound connection, as well as reading and writing readiness. Science and social studies are integrated through thematic studies.

Creative Expression - Children are encouraged to express themselves creatively throughout each day. They are engaged in many projects and activities that promote self-expression through dramatic play, art, cooking, music, and movement/sensory centers.

Physical Development - Large and small motor skills are emphasized during outdoor activities, which include time in the garden to plan, construct and enjoy. We also use our state-of-the art interactive playground equipment to increase the development of body muscles, strength and stamina.
